Greetings
"What is the purpose of this site?"
It is to act as a portal site for the three churches in Sheffield, as a source of information as to where the churches are, a resource centre for the Sheffield Seventh-day Adventist Churches and as a brief introduction for casual visitors like yourself. You are welcome to browse, 'looking over our shoulder' - and you are even more welcome to pay us a visit at any of our churches.
"Who runs the churches?"
They are run by members of the Seventh-day Adventist church.
"So the churches are for Seventh-day Adventists?"
No, they are for everyone. You can attend our meetings and share in the life of our churches indefinitely without becoming a member.
"Are Adventists those people who don't give blood?"
No! If you have visited either of the Sheffield hospitals you may have met some of our nursing church members in the ward, delivery room or even the operating theatre. Incidentally, we believe that life is for living now and that one of the best ways of helping that is by keeping healthy by living a healthy lifestyle.
"Are you one of those groups who have more than one wife?"
No way! You are confusing us with the Church of Latter Day Saints (The Mormons) and they banned it over 100 years ago.
"What are you then?"
We are part of a world-wide, multi-racial, multi-cultural church who share a love of God, worship together each Saturday to celebrate what Jesus Christ has done for us and most of all that he is coming soon. If you would like to know more try this link.
